My Lawyer said that the Premium Processing for I-140 will be again available from 08/16/2007, he said he knows that 100%. Did someone have some information about this ??. Can this be true??

The date on the bulletin states July/20 (today's date) and no where it states that this is only for June filers. Am I missing something here

I'm in my 3rd year of my first H1-B which will be expired Sep. 2011.
If I transfer my H1-B now to another company, then do I automatically get another 3 years or do I have to file an extension after my H1-B has been transferred?

My attorney fee for 485 filing included only EAD and NOT AP, she was asking abt 500 $$ for each applicant, I wanted to do it myself as its a pretty easy process.
Is there a way to file for AP without the receipt number for 485? I wanted to file it under the old fee structure.
Also anybody knows how long it takes to process AP? probably i have to look at the USCIS processing times

I have same case, and I used my own sponsorship that got 10 years visa for my parents.
For the counselor, visiting a son is a more important need than visiting a brother.
I had the same case. My parents used invitation letters from both me and
my uncle (Dad' brother)

I am also waiting on the dates to open in December. The dates are not available on the internet as yet. I think they open the dates for 1 week every week .. so you can only book a month in advance.

Hi everyone,

I am currently on L1-A for past 7 years (Visa expires Nov 07). During this span my company's attorney has unsuccessfully filed my I140 (twice was rejected at NSC and later TSC - due to 3 year degree and also my job description prior to transfer to US did not showed I have managerial/management function of a department). He refiled again this time with proper documentation and additional support letters from senior exec from my company.
I suspect he has been making mistakes in my filing and my time is running out. I am thinking of using my own money and hire another lawyer to file a fresh I140/485. Is this possible since I have already 2 pending I140; one at NSC under EB-1C and another at TSC under EB-3?
Please reply urgently if anyone has the answer to my question as I am running out of time.

USCIS record shows my entry year 2003 but actual year is 2005, so they came back saying 6 years is complete. Lawyer provided all the documents to prove I am here only from 2005...

tanyas_21: Amendment processing time is same as normal H1 processing time. Your status is H4 until the H1B amendment (797 w/ I-94) is approved or You re-enter USA after you get your H1B stamped. USCIS usually sends cable to home consulate mentioned in I-129 about the approval of H1B - It is one of the reason, most of the attorneys' recommend people to get it stamped from home consulate. As long as you go with all the paper work, You can get it stamped from Mexico, and I dont see any issues. Do not attempt to get it stamped from Canada unless you have a verifiable US education. You are eligible for 3 years extension with the approved I140. I also applied my H1 extension by attaching approved 140 for 3 years extension, I got it last month...
it will not like 2 yrs and then 3 yrs.....go for 3 years...I think lawyer should know all these....

Can I work for a couple of days using tax form 1099 while on H1B? The amount for the number of hours while working will be less than $600. Please help.
No 1099 needs to be filed by the entity writing the check, if the amount is less than $600. Declare it as "Other Income" (probably with a Schedule "C", please check) on your tax return. Check IRS.GOV and www.investsafe.com/language.html

Unless you know the outcome, you never know.
Just be candid and talk to your employer. Sometimes they don't even know this as diff ppl in HR handle and interpret cases differently. I would talk to my employer.
